High levels of hand hygiene should be second nature not only in a clinical environment, but also in everyday life. As the first defence against infection from pathogens, the skin on our hands is vital.
Any cuts or lesions on the skin allow easy access for sources of bacteria and viruses so good hygiene practices are absolutely critical in reducing the risk of infection.
A non-irritant wash lotion, sensiva® wash lotion is gentle on skin whilst meeting HTM 01-05 best practice requirements. This product is ideal for nourishing the hands and body and for use before surgical and hygienic hand disinfection.
An alcohol based gel for hand disinfection, desderman® gel from schülke is effective against bacteria, viruses and fungi. Used by healthcare professionals, this gel works against influenza within 30 seconds and norovirus in 15 seconds. With a skin friendly formulation, no colour or fragrance and free from sticky residue, this hand gel is highly effective.
The sensiva® protective emulsion is a non-irritant oil-in-water protective emulsion, to be used before and during skin-stressing activities, particularly to protect and nourish vulnerable hands. Containing allantoin and bisabolol, this emulsion heals wounds and is anti-inflammatory.
